The Law Offices of Jason Wunsch will open its new office at 206 Raleigh Street in Fuquay-Varina on November 15th. The office is located near the Fuquay-Varina Public Library. Areas of practice will include but are not limited to, traffic, criminal, real-estate, civil litigation, bankruptcy, social security disability, personal injury and family law. Wunsch will be opening their Wake County office on November 15, 2011. The location of the office, soon to appear on the firm’s website, is near the Fuquay-Varina public library.
Fuquay residents, come show your support and vote for Jason Wunsch on Election Day, November 8, 2011 as he hopes to prevail in the race for Fuquay-Varina Town Commissioner! Construction on the addition to the Wunsch Law Office began September 20th, as three additional offices,a bathroom and conference room will be added to the existing structure. There will also be parking spaces added to the back of the building. The office will be adding hardwood floors to both its exisiting structure and the addition. The expected completition date is January 2012. “I am excited about the addition as we will be able to accomodate larger appointments simultaneously,” said firm owner, Jason Wunsch.
The race for Fuquay-Varina Commissioner is underway as seven candidates are vying for three positions on the Board of Commissioners. Attorney Jason Wunsch is seeking a seat on the Board and recently participated in a Candidate Forum sponsored by the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce. One of the major topics in the first of three candidate forums was economic growth in Fuquay-Varina. Wunsch stated that his primary objective was to develop both the Fuquay and Varina downtowns and that small business owners should be given assistance through grants to help them comply with town ordinances that require costly upgrades to buildings. Wunsch also felt that is was the responsibility of the Commissioners to not only attract small business but assist with their growth and development. One way to accomplish this would be to partner with organizations that seek to have outdoor events (and road closings), where small businesses can attract much needed attention. The theme of Mr. Wunsch’s campaign is responsible growth, which means not only looking at the current needs of Fuquay-Varina, but also addressing what future issues will be presented by the town’s rapid growth. The Rotary Club of Lillington hosted District Governor Mack Parker for a visit at its August 4, 2011 meeting. Jason Wunsch, President of the Lillington Rotary, had the pleasure of meeting District Governor Parker when both exchanged the new 2011-2012 Rotary International banner. As a result of the passage of HB 200, HB 642, and HB 22, court costs will increase for the second month in a row. The increase will primarily affect court costs and fines associated with criminal and traffic violations. Assuming that there are no changes in legislation in the mean time, a third round of court cost changes are scheduled to to go into effect in December of this year. A complete list of the changes effective August 1 can be found at http://www.nccourts.org/Courts/Trial/Costs/. On July 5, 2011, Jason O. Wunsch filed to run for Fuquay-Varina Town Commissioner. While Wunsch has never held a public office, he has been very involved in the community. For four years, Wunsch served on the Harnett Regional Theater Board, as well as participated in their productions. Wunsch is currently the President of the Lillington Rotary Club, and is Past President of the Harnett County Bar Association. Wunsch is running for Commissioner because he wants to serve his community by contributing new ideas and being a good listener. “These are tough economic times, and Fuquay-Varina needs leadership that will make cost effective decisions that allow people to keep their jobs, which puts money back into the community.” There are three Commissioner positions up for election, which takes place November 8, 2011. The General Assembly has passed new legislation which became effective July 1, 2011, increasing court costs and fees. The primary legislation which has affected the court costs is House Bill 200 (Appropriations Act of 2011), which has been further amended by House Bill 22 (2011 Budget Technical Corrections). House Bill 22 was ratified on June 18, 2011. HB 22 makes multiple changes to the court cost provisions of the Appropriations Act. HB 22 will not be the only cost changes in 2011. In addition to the cost changes effective July 1, 2011, the Act contains several other cost provisions that are contingent upon the passage of other legislation and which will take effect later in the year. There are multiple enacted bills that will further affect court costs. These updated costs affect various things, including but not limited to, the cost of civil filing fees, and the costs and fines associated with traffic citations. Mr. Wunsch has been a member of the Lillington Rotary Club since 2005. The installation was held at Senator Robert Morgan’s residence in Lillington.
